Until the 18 settembre resta allestita al Museo della Musica, in Strada Maggiore 34, la mostra The Passion of Cleopatra. Visioni e maschere di Arnaldo Pomodoro” che espone i materiali progettuali (disegni, maschere, ornamenti, modellini di scena) made by Arnaldo Pomodoro for the staging of "The Passion of Cleopatra” the Egyptian poet Ahmad Shawqi.

L’esposizione, realizzata grazie alla collaborazione tra Istituzione Bologna Musei e Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro di Milano si è inserita all’ interno di un progetto legato alla mostra “Egitto. Splendore millenario” che ha permesso di compiere a Bologna un’operazione che non ha precedenti nel panorama internazionale: the Egyptian collection of the National Museum of Antiquities in Leiden in the Netherlands – one of the first ten in the world – and that of Artcheologico Museum of Bologna – among the first in Italy for number, quality and state of conservation, They have merged and integrated into a single itinerary of about 1.700 square meters of art and history.

La mostra al Museo della Musica costituisce un’occasione anche per visitare la famosa “sala egizia” decorata da Gaetano Lodi, straordinario scrigno nascosto di Palazzo Sanguinetti. The Bolognese painter, commissioned by Antonio Aldini the decoration of the room, He studied the extensive Egyptian art iconographic repertoire of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries B.C.. during several stays in Cairo, dove – between 1873 and the 1877 – He realized the paintings of a dining room inside the harem to Ghisec, altri decori nel palazzo Khedivale e i disegni per un servizio da tavola Richard Ginori destinato al vicerè.

Nella sala adiacente si possono poi visionare Video kindly provided by the Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro: "Arnaldo Pomodoro. Large Works 1972-2008 ", directed by Sabina Bologna and Marianna Schivardi, Milano 2009, and "Arnaldo Pomodoro. The scenic Projects 1972-2011 ", Milano 2012.
